From San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland:
- Take I-80 East (towards Sacramento).
- Immediately following the Gilman Ave. exit, take the I-580 West exit (towards the San Rafael Bridge).
- Exit the freeway at the Bayview Ave. exit (the second exit after merging on to I-580W).
- Turn left at the end of the off-ramp and continue straight onto Meade after stopping at the stop sign.
- Turn left at S. 47th St. (the second street on the left), then immediately turn right (before entering the new Business Park) onto Seaver and enter the Richmond Field Station.
From Sacramento:
- Take I-80 West (towards San Francisco).
- Exit the freeway at the Carlson Blvd. exit in Richmond.
- At the end of the off-ramp, turn right onto Carlson Blvd.
- Turn left onto Bayview Ave. at the second traffic signal.
- Follow Bayview Ave. over the freeway and to a stop sign. Continue straight onto Meade after stopping at the stop sign.
- Turn left at S. 47th St. (the second street on the left), then immediately turn right (before entering the new Business Park) onto Seaver and enter the Richmond Field Station.
From Marin County:
- Take Highway 101 towards San Rafael and follow signs to the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge/I-580 East (towards Oakland).
- Continue over bridge, and exit at Regatta Ave. (about 5 miles after bridge).
- Continue straight onto Meade at stoplight (at the end of the off-ramp).
- Take your first right onto S. 47th St. then immediately turn right (before entering the new Business Park) onto Seaver and enter the Richmond Field Station.
Public Transportation:
- Shuttle service is available hourly from campus and the downtown Berkeley BART station to the Richmond Field Station on the RFS Line. Check the Bear Transit web site for the current schedule and price. (Unlike other campus shuttles, the RFS Line is not free with a transit pass and exact change is required.)
- The nearest BART station is El Cerrito Del Norte, approximately 1.5 miles away; there is no local bus service from BART to the Richmond Field Station.
Parking:
- Effective November 1, 2006, parking at the Richmond Field Station requires a permit or a daily visitor pass, available for fifty cents at the entry gate. See the UC Berkeley Parking and Transportation website for more information.
